Why Register?
- Control the article sources Headup uses for the News tab – Increase internal traffic by selecting your site as a Headup source. Add your blogroll buddies to create your own blogger network.
- Control what gets marked – Headup providing markings you'd rather not see? Use the dashboard to blacklist them.
- Select your default tab – Rather show videos as your default tab? Now you can! Use the dashboard to select your widget's default tab.

Headup Joomla Plugin
The Headup Joomla plugin is easy to install. Simply follow these steps:
Instructions:
- 1In your Joomla's administrator page go to Extensions ⇒ Install
- 2In the "Install from URL" dialog box paste in this address:
http://headup.com/platforms/headup_for_joomla.zip - 3Click Install
- 4Now go to Extensions ⇒ Plugin Manager, search for the line corresponding to your newly installed Headup plugin (it might be on the 2nd page if you have many plugins installed).
- 5Enable the plugin
- Congratulations! You're done!

Want to customize your plugin and access the publisher dashboard?
- 1click here to register your Headup User Id
- 2Copy your User Id
- 3Go to Extensions ⇒ Plugin Manager, find your Headup plugin and click it
- 4Paste your User Id in the dialog box
- 5Save your settings
- You're done
Please note that regardless of whether you install the generic widget or a customized version it takes about 10 minutes after installation for Headup annotations to start appearing on your content.
